The Church

Over the next few weeks we will be exploring the foundation of the church! As Jesus encourages the disciples after the resurrection, He prepares them for the foundation of the church. As they move forward, they will be given the tools to take the gospel to the world. We in turn have the same goal, to take the gospel of Jesus to every person.

Easter: Worship His Holy Name

The Choir will preform an incredible array of songs depicting the Holiness of God on Palm Sunday, March 25th at 10:45 am.

This gets our week started with a proper focus of God as we enter into Holy Week. On Good Friday we will have an entirely different type of service as we enjoy a night of praise. We will be joined by the First Baptist Church of Wixom’s music ministry team as well. Then Easter Sunday morning is always a special service as we meet for breakfast at 10, then have a great time of worship.

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve will be an awesome day at First Baptist Church this year. The morning service will be filled with music as we tell the Christmas Story.

Then at 6:00 pm our annual candle light service will be beautiful. Plenty of Christmas Carols, a story for the children, special musical guests, and this year a new tradition, a keepsake ornament for every family.

THE GREATEST GIFT

The FBN choir will present a special Christmas concert on Saturday December 2, at 7:00 pm. This concert is open to the public and free to all who attend. This is one Christmas tradition you don’t want to miss.

Fall Outreach

It’s hard to believe we are getting ready for Trunk or Treat, but it is less than 4 weeks away. I hope you are planning on helping in some way as we try to reach out to our community on October 31. We will be giving out hot chocolate, water, invites to church, a gospel tract, and of course lots of candy. We will meet at the church anytime after 5, with the siren starting the festivities at 6 and concluding at 8.

Service in the Park – Sunday September 3

Hard to believe summer is almost over and Labor Day is just around the corner.  We are planning our annual Labor Day church service and picnic in the park.  SUNDAY September 3 at 10:45 we will have our Sunday morning worship service at the park followed by a picnic lunch. We will grill hot dogs and hamburgers so just bring a dish to pass. We will also provide plates, cups, silverware, and drinks.

The Park is located on the corner of 8 Mile Rd. and Napier Rd. There is a large playground, picnic shelter with full bathrooms, and plenty of room to play Volley Ball. Hope you will come out and join us – Everyone is welcome!

Good Food

This Sunday, August 6th at 5:00 pm we are having a cook out and hearing from Eric and Ashley Woodworth, missionaries to Honduras. Great food and a great time of just hanging out – hope to see you!

Family Day!

Sunday, January 29 is Family Day at FBN. Our worship service will be family friendly with songs, skits, and games geared for the entire family. Even the morning message will be presented in a kid friendly way, broken up into smaller segments so little ones don’t get over whelmed. If you’ve got children, this service is for you!
